Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is also celebrated at Youth Day, celebrated on January 12th of each year (which is the date according to the Gregorian calendar). Swami Vivekananda is widely regarded as one of the greatest modern thinkers. He was a prominent philosopher, social reformer, and the most successful proponent of Vedanta philosophy everywhere.
