May the blessings of Maa Durga fill your homes and hearts with peace, strength, and joy throughout these nine sacred nights. Come together with family and friends, offer your prayers, and celebrate the divine feminine in all her forms.

The nine nights of Navratri, Sharad Navratri 2026, begin on Sunday, October 11 and conclude with Navami on October 19. Dussehra follows on October 20.

The Nine Days of Navratri 2026

Day 1 (Oct 11): Maa Shailaputri. The daughter of the Himalayas, she is worshipped as the embodiment of nature and steadfast devotion. She holds a trident and a lotus.

Day 2 (Oct 12): Maa Brahmacharini. She represents penance and austerity. Devotees seek her blessings for discipline, clarity, and perseverance.

Day 3 (Oct 13): Maa Chandraghanta. Her half-moon bell-shaped ornament gives her the name. She is worshipped for courage and freedom from fear.

Day 4 (Oct 14): Maa Kushmanda. Believed to have created the universe with her gentle smile, she is worshipped for health, prosperity, and energy.

Day 5 (Oct 15): Maa Skandamata. She is the mother of Lord Kartikeya (Skanda), seated on a lion with her son in her lap. She is worshipped for love and the nurturing bond between mother and child.

Day 6 (Oct 16): Maa Katyayani. A fierce warrior form who defeated the demon Mahishasura. She is worshipped for strength, victory over evil, and marital harmony.

Day 7 (Oct 17): Maa Kaalratri. The fierce form who destroys darkness and ignorance. She is worshipped for protection from negative forces and fear.

Day 8 (Oct 18): Maa Mahagauri. Her radiant white complexion symbolizes purity and peace. She is worshipped for forgiveness, serenity, and wisdom.

Day 9 (Oct 19): Maa Siddhidatri. She grants siddhis (spiritual powers) and fulfills the wishes of her devotees. Navami is celebrated with Kanya Pujan, honouring young girls as the goddess herself.

Vijayadashami (Oct 20) marks the victory of Maa Durga and the triumph of good over evil, celebrated with the Ram Leela and Ravan Dahan at the temple.
